2008 Season (Georgia State): Made appearances in 53 sets recording 36 kills in her second season at Georgia State … tallied  eight service aces, 19 digs and 30 blocks.

 

2007 Season (Georgia State): Saw limited action behind a deep corps of middle hitters, but made the most of her  opportunities ... posted two kills in five-set win over Fordham (8/25) in her first collegiate action ... registered career-high four kills and hit .800 with two block assists in win over UMKC (8/31) ... matched career-best with four kills while hitting .500 in win against Kennesaw State (10/2).

 

High School: Earned seven Letters for Romulus, with three years in volleyball and two years each in basketball and track at Romulus High ... had over 1,100 kills and 100 blocks in her high school career ... named Michigan Mega All-Conference her senior season, as her team finished second in conference play ... named Athlete of the Week by the Romulus News-Herald in 2006 ... team had a record of 63-45 in her three years on the squad...she was a forward/center on a team that advanced to Regionals her final year...in ninth and tenth grades, Alysa ran the 400 and 800 meters, setting school records.

 

Personal: Daughter of Emery and Kimberly Long … born on Oct. 5, 1989 … majoring in accounting … her uncle John and her cousin Grant both played in the NBA … John played 14 years in the NBA, scoring 12,131 points … he was with the Detroit Pistons for eight years, pairing with Isiah Thomas in the backcourt … John also played for Indiana, Atlanta and Toronto … Grant, a 6-9 forward, played more than 1,000 NBA games, finishing in 2003 with 9,518 career points.
