Nathan Barger


Nathan Barger is entering his first year as a graduate assistant at ETSU and will be working with the men’s and women’s cross-country and track and field programs.

Barger graduated from Carson Newman University in December 2012 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training. While at Carson Newman, Barger worked with the football, baseball, men’s and women’s basketball, as well as men’s and women’s soccer programs. Barger also interned with the ESPN Wide World of Sports in Orlando, Florida in 2012 covering several sports as well as aiding in day-to-day operations in the athletic training room. In 2011, Barger was awarded the TATS Undergraduate Athletic Training Student of the Year Award.

Barger is originally from Sweetwater, Tenn., and is a member of the National Athletic Trainers’ Association and Tennessee Athletic Trainers’ Society. Nathan is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology and Performance at ETSU.
