SoCon cancels remainder of spring competition

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (March 17, 2020) -- By unanimous votes of the league’s Council of Presidents and directors of athletics, the Southern Conference is canceling all athletics-related activities for the remainder of the 2019-20 academic year, including competition, championships, organized practices and meetings, due to the ongoing threat of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic, Commissioner Jim Schaus announced Tuesday.

Jenkins Announces Addition of Irina Alekseeva

Bucs Conclude 2019 Season with Five-Set Loss in SoCon Championship

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Nov. 24, 2019) — The ETSU volleyball team’s 2019 season came to a close in the Southern Conference championship match with a five-set loss (25-23, 25-22, 23-25, 17-25, 15-8) to the Samford Bulldogs. Kaela Massey (Brentwood, Tenn.) finished her career with 18 kills on 30 swings to bring her season clip to a program-best .353 hitting percentage.


Bucs Defeat Bears in Offensive Clash

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Nov. 23, 2019) — After suffering a first-set loss, the second-seeded ETSU volleyball team battled back to win the next three sets to defeat the No. 7 Mercer Bears 3-1 (22-25, 25-21, 25-23, 25-21) and clinch a spot in the Southern Conference championship match tomorrow afternoon.


Bucs Defeat Spartans in Four, Advance to SoCon Semifinals

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Nov. 22, 2019) — The second-seeded ETSU Volleyball team begin play in the Southern Conference Tournament on Friday afternoon and defeated the No. 7 UNCG Spartans 3-1 (25-13, 25-18, 31-29, 25-16) behind a huge offensive performance from the team. Lundyn Coffman (Nolensville, Tenn.) dominated the floor with a .765 attack clip, the best by a Buc in three years and third-best in program history.


ETSU Heads to Spartanburg for 2019 SoCon Tournament

SPARTANBURG, S.C. (Nov. 21, 2019) – ETSU’s volleyball team is set to compete in the Southern Conference Tournament with an NCAA Tournament bid on the line. ETSU is slated as the two seed and will begin play by facing the seventh-seeded UNCG Spartans in the quarterfinals on Friday, Nov. 22 at 4:30 p.m.
