East Tennessee State Volleyball Defeats Charleston, 3-0

Johnson City, Tenn.-- East Tennessee State senior Kellie Wallace and junior Amber Ciskowksi both notched 12 kills to lead the Bucs in a 3-0 (16-14, 15-12, 15-13) win against College of Charleston at ETSU's Brooks Gym.

Joining Wallace and Ciskowski with double-digit kills was freshman Rachel Shifflet (10). ETSU (15-10, 11-6 Southern Conference) junior setter Carey Cavanaugh had 39 assists to engineer the offense. The Buccaneer defense was led by senior Jena Policastro with 21 digs and Shifflet who recorded 20 digs.

College of Charleston (13-12, 7-9) was led by Heather Bingham who tallied 22 kills and 11 digs. Mary Sabatino recorded 36 assists for the visitors.

ETSU has won two consecutive matches and is 8-2 in Brooks Gym this season.

The Buccaneers return to action at 7 p.m. on November 7 when they travel to Boone, N.C. and face the Appalachian State Mountaineers.
