CHARLOTTE, N.C. (August 28, 2006) - Senior Jennifer Emerson (Tracy, Calif.) and junior Kaena Apana (Waianae, Hawaii) were each named to the Charlotte Classic All-Tournament team following their stellar play at the event this past weekend.

Emerson led the Lady Bucs in assists in both matches, finishing the weekend with 84 and contributing a match-high 50 in ETSU's first ever victory over N.C. State Saturday afternoon.  She was also a force offensively, putting down 12 kills against just one error and hitting .393 for the weekend.

Her weekend performance also earned her recognition as one of the Atlantic Sun Conference's top performers for the season's opening week.

Apana was a defensive stalwart all tournament, digging 40 balls over the two matches.  The picture of consistency, Apana tallied 20 digs in each match, averaging nearly six digs per game for the weekend.

The Lady Bucs return to the road Tuesday with a 7 p.m. tilt at High Point.
