MORGANTOWN, W. Va. (Sept. 7, 2007) -The ETSU volleyball team was defeated in three games by Butler at the West Virginia Volleyball Classic in Morgantown, W. Va. Friday night, 19-30, 30-32, 25-30.

"You have to give credit to Butler, they scouted us very well," said head coach Lindsey Devine. "They were a more confident team, and we could not get into a flow.

Freshman Desiree Dyck (Meadow Lake, Saskatchewan), led the Bucs in kills with 11, while Freshman Laura Waddell (Lynchburg, Va.), also had double digit kills with 10. Senior Kaena Apana (Waianae, Hawaii), led the Bucs from the back with 16 digs.

"I think the team understands what we need to do to come out and play our game tomorrow," Devine said."

With the loss the Bucs fall to 5-3 on the year. The Bucs will play two matches Saturday to finish up the tournament, starting with Indiana State at noon followed by a match against host West Virginia at 8 p.m.
