ETSU volleyball looks to win third straight conference match against Campbell

Friday, September 25, 2009

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 25, 2009) - The ETSU volleyball team will look to its third straight conference match as the Bucs host Campbell Friday at 7 p.m. in Brooks Gym.

The Bucs (5-8, 4-1 A-Sun) dropped a heart breaker to Appalachian State after picking up two big conference wins this past weekend defeating Kennesaw State 3-1 and Mercer 3-0 on the road. The Bucs are led by Amanda Youell (Middleburg, Fla.) who is second in the A-Sun with 450 assists.

ETSU is 5-1 all-time against Campbell as the Bucs have won five-straight against the Camels including two wins in 2008.

Campbell (8-5, 3-1 A-Sun) comes into the match having won its last three conference matches against Stetson, Mercer and Kennesaw State. The Camels dropped a non-conference match to East Carolina earlier in the week, 3-1. Campbell is led by Emily Werner who has 126 kills on the season.
