JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Oct. 30, 2013) – Each week during the volleyball season members of the ETSU volleyball team will be featured in a segment called “Getting to Know You.”

The ninth player to be featured is junior outside hitter Ivey Rice (Johnson City, Tenn.). During the preseason, the players were given the questionnaire, which can be found below, and each of them submitted their answers. Below are the responses by Rice:

  • My family, because they keep me grounded and entertained.

If you were stranded on an island what are two things you would bring with you?  

  • An airplane and a hammock

  • There’s no meaning, I’ve just been number 10 my whole life.

If you weren’t playing volleyball, what sport would you play?

  • Dodgeball

Do you have a gameday tradition? 

  • Relax, eat a good pregame meal, and mentally prepare myself for the match.

What are your plans after graduation? 

  • Experience a different city and find a steady career

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you?  

  • I love to go thrift stores, flea markets, and garage sales!

What’s your favorite thing to do in the off-season?  

  • I like to go hiking.
