JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Dec. 13, 2013) – Each week during the season, members of the ETSU volleyball team will be featured in a segment called “Getting to Know You.” The 14th player to be featured is sophomore defensive specialist Laura Lawman (Cleveland, Tenn.).

What’s the number one thing on your bucket list?

  • Marry the love of my life, and have a wonderful life with our kids and families.

If you could be on any reality TV show what would it be?

  • “Extreme Makeover Home Edition”

What is one thing you can’t live without?  

  • My friends and family… I don’t know where I would be without the support they give me every day.

If you were stranded on an island what are two things you would bring with you?

  • A knife and fire rocks.

 Is there any meaning behind your number you wear?

  • No.

If you could be one person for a day, who would you be and why?

  • Anyone with a lot of money, so I could make a big difference in the world; if only for one day.

If you weren’t playing volleyball, what sport would you play?

  • Tennis.

Do you have a gameday tradition? 

  • Play hard!

What are your plans after graduation? 

  • To find a good job near my home town and start paying off some loans.

What’s one thing most people don’t know about you? 

  • I grew up on a farm and I have four sisters.

What’s your favorite thing to do in the off-season?

  • Riding and teaching my horse new tricks!
