With all the new faces on this season's ETSU volleyball team, we thought it would be fun to get to know each of the new players throughout the season. This week we talked to Alyssa Kvarta (Crown Point, Ind.).
Firstly, how did you decide to come to ETSU?
I came to ETSU because of volleyball. I love the program and also the school in general.
How has the adjustment to college volleyball gone for you?
Stressful at first, slowly getting in the groove of things, especially with school work.
Do you have any specific goals while you are here at ETSU?
I would like to maintain a good GPA and get on the honor roll.
What do you feel is your strength on the court?
Competing and giving 100% effort all the time. I love to compete and I see that as one of my true strengths.
Do you have a major yet and what are your career plans?
Allied Health is my planned major. I would love to be a dietician as I get older and possibly work in a hospital.
What do you like to do away from volleyball?
I’m an outdoorsy kind of person so I like to fish and hunt. I also love shopping and relaxing.
If you hadn’t gotten into volleyball, what sport would you have gotten into?
I would’ve gone into swimming because as a child I was very good at backstroke. It would be my second choice for sure.
Do you have any rituals before you play?
What’s your favorite food?
If you could meet any three people, living or dead, who would they be and why?
Micha Hancock, Zac Efron, and Ellen because they are three of my favorite people.
