JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 18, 2015) – ETSU Head Volleyball Coach Lindsey Devine and her staff announced the signing of Kaela Massey (Brentwood, Tenn.) Wednesday as part of the NCAA’s early signing period.

“Kaela is the top middle player in the state of Tennessee,” said Devine. “She has great physical presence when she blocks and works extremely hard to find gaps along the net to be an impact attacker. She will bring that fierce competitor and winning mentality to our program.”

Massey, who is 6’1” middle blocker, earned several accolades playing at Brentwood High School where she was a four-year varsity starter. The Brentwood, Tenn. native is a two-time All-District selection and was named the MVP of the district as a senior. In addition to All-District accolades, Massey was named as an AVCA Under Armor All-American Honorable Mention and Region MVP this past season. She also was a player on three state championship teams at Brentwood High School.

Massey has also excelled in the classroom as she was named the JMB Scholar-Athlete of the Month and to the Impact Athletic Honors Tennessee State Team. She is also a member of the National Honor Society and has been named to the honor roll in each of the past three years.
