SPARTANBURG, S.C. (October 17, 2016) – For the second straight week senior outside hitter Briana Allmon (Flower Mound, Texas) has been named Southern Conference Offensive Player of the Week by the league office.

During the week of Oct.10 – Oct.16, Allmon had a team-high 41 kills averaging 4.10 kills per set along with a .271 hitting percentage. The Flower Mound, Texas native helped lead the Bucs to three victories during the week over Chattanooga, Wofford and Western Carolina.

Allmon nearly recorded a double-double on Saturday at Western Carolina with 16 kills and eight digs. Against Wofford last Friday, Allmon had a match-high 11 kills with a hitting percentage of .385. In a mid-week match-up versus Chattanooga, Allmon had a match and team high 14 kills en route to a three set victory over the Mocs.

This season Allmon ranks third in the SoCon with 3.88 kills per set and has recorded nine straight games with at least 10 kills. The senior leads the team with 287 kills and is just four kills away from reaching 750 career kills.
