SPARTANBURG, S.C. (November 2, 2016) – On Wednesday the Southern Conference announced that ETSU volleyball’s Briana Allmon (Flower Mound, Texas) has been named Offensive Player of the Month for the month of October.
During the month of October, Allmon registered a team-high 143 kills, averaging 4.61 kills per set. The senior outside hitter recorded double-digit kills in eight of the nine matches in October including a career-high 28 kills on October 7th against Western Carolina.
Allmon helped lead the Bucs to an 8-1 record during October and ended the month by posting her team-leading sixth double-double of the season (21 kills, 14 digs) at UNC-Greensboro last weekend. Allmon currently ranks second in the SoCon with 3.98 kills per set and leads ETSU with 346 kills.
It is the second straight month ETSU has earned Offensive Player of the Month honors as sophomore outside hitter AJ Lux earned September Offensive Player of the Month.
ETSU and Allmon with be back in action on Friday, Nov.4 inside Brooks Gym at 6:00 p.m. as the Bucs take on Samford on Senior Night.
