The Bucs are 10-0 at home this season and have won 19 straight sets in Johnson City

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn.  (November 7, 2016) –  For the final time this season the ETSU volleyball team will compete inside Brooks Gym on Tuesday night as the Buccaneers host Furman on Tuesday, November 7 at 6:00 p.m. The match will be streamed on ESPN3.

Scouting the Buccaneers
Having won nine of the last 10 matches the Bucs head into Tuesday’s contest atop of the SoCon standings with an overall record of 18-7 and 10-3 in conference play. ETSU looks to avenge one of their SoCon losses as ETSU fell on the road to Furman in five sets to begin conference play.

Home Sweet Home
ETSU is a perfect 10-0 at home this season, tying the program record set back in 2012 for the most home wins in a season. With a victory, the 2016-17 volleyball squad will become the first team in program history to complete an undefeated home schedule. ETSU has earned 19 straight set victories in Johnson City.

How “Sweep” It is
The Bucs have recorded 14 three-set victories this season, which ranks fourth most in program history. Of the 14 sweeps this season, nine have been at home.

Freshman Kaela Massey (Brentwood, Tenn.) is one block shy of reaching 100 blocks on the season for the Bucs which leads the team. In their last game against Samford, sophomore Braedyn Tutton (Courtice, Ontario) registered a career-high five blocks in the three set victory. As a team, ETSU ranks second in the SoCon in blocks per set at 2.17.

Mid-Week Feast
Dating back to last season the blue and gold have recorded four straight mid-week match victories with three of the wins coming in three-sets. In 2016, ETSU has had only one mid-week match, defeating Chattanooga at home, 3-0 on October 12.

Scouting the Furman Paladins
Furman has an overall record of 10-6 and 6-8 in the SoCon after losing four of its last five matches. The Paladins are coming off a four-set victory over Samford last Saturday. Overall, the Paladins ranks second in the SoCon in digs per set at 16.23.
