2013 Season
Played in all 31 matches for ETSU … led the Bucs in service aces (33) ... set a career highs in kills (19) and attack percentage (.552) against Austin Peay on Sept. 13 … recorded her first collegiate double-double against Northern Kentucky on Oct. 4 – finishing with 11 kills and 12 digs … the digs 12 vs. the Norse tied a career high … had 18 kills and hit .342 in the win at North Florida on Oct. 19.

2012 Season
Atlantic Sun All-Tournament Team and A-Sun All-Academic member … Played in all 36 matches … Registered double-digit kills 17 times, including a career-high 15 in back-to-back matches against Kennesaw State (Oct. 16) and USC Upstate (Oct. 19) … Posting a .500 attack percentage (12-2-20) in the win over Chattanooga on Aug. 31 … Finished with a career-best five service aces versus Alabama State on Sept. 7 … Tallied 37 kills in the 12 sets played at the A-Sun Tournament, while finishing with 11 kills, five blocks, and three digs in the championship match vs. North Florida.

2011 Season
Played in 18 matches, while making her collegiate debut on Sept. 3 vs. Missouri …recorded 10-plus kills in four matches, with her career high being 13 (three separate times) … recorded a 13-kill, 4-dig match at Presbyterian (10/18) … finished with a season-high 12 digs vs. Mercer (10/21).

About Gesell
Led High Point Christian Academy to the 2009 2A State Championship – the school’s first ever in volleyball… She has been selected all-conference and all-state four times in her high school career… Gesell was also TAC 2A Player of the Year three times and PACIS 3A Player of the Year once, while also earning 2A State Player of the Year honors during her junior year... In addition, she was the 2009 and 2010 News and Record All-Area Player of the Year… She finished her senior season with 580 kills, 105 aces, 64 blocks, and 265 digs… Also played Junior Olympic Volleyball with the Piedmont Volleyball Club for four years... Before her senior season, Gesell was named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Preseason All-America Watch List… Also a standout softball player where she was named all-state multiple times and was the school’s Female Athlete of the Year during her freshman and sophomore years.

Daughter of Corey and Lisa Gesell...born on November 6, 1992...has three brothers, Jared, Levi, and Luke...majoring in elementary education.
