Despite having three Lady Bucs reach double figures, ETSU (7-7, 3-1) fell to Belmont in the battle of conference unbeatens Saturday afternoon in Memorial Center, 78-69. Freshman Siarre Evans (Griffin, Ga.) earned her third career double-double by posting 18 points and grabbing 12 rebounds, and finished the week averaging 15 points and 10 rebounds in two league games.
Campbell (3-10, 1-2) is coming off a 63-55 loss at Jacksonville, and has dropped six of its last seven, including four straight. The Lady Camels are led by junior forward Marlena Murphy, who is averaging 13.1 ppg and 9.6 rpg. Murphy has led Campbell in rebounding in 10 of its 13 games this season.
ETSU and Campbell met for the first time last season with the Lady Bucs sweeping the season series. ETSU defeated Campbell, 73-63, in Johnson City and took game two, 56-36, in Buies Creek. Junior Nichelle Akers (Sumter, S.C.) tied the school record with nine steals in the win at Johnson City and also scored 16 points, tying her career high.
