DAVIDSON, N.C. (Dec. 5, 2007) - The Mountain States Health Alliance Buccaneer Sports Network and Holston Valley Broadcasting Corporation have teamed up to air a handful of ETSU women's basketball games this 2007-08 season, and the inaugural broadcast begins Thursday evening when the Lady Bucs travel to Davidson. Tip is set for 7 p.m.
"We're excited to be carrying select ETSU Lady Bucs basketball games on the WKPT Radio Network," said WKPT Sports Director Scott Gray. "We are looking forward to an outstanding year, and a long-lasting relationship with Lady Bucs basketball and the Mountain States Health Alliance Buccaneer Sports Network."

The Lady Buccaneers will have at least six other games aired on three of the Holston Valley Broadcasting flagship stations. The games to be carried include: Radford (Dec. 20), Appalachian State (Jan. 16), Kennesaw State (Feb. 2),
"We are very excited with this new partnership at WKPT," added ETSU Network Director Jay Sandos. "We were looking to expand our network with women's basketball and baseball, and we very pleased with the direction WKPT is headed and what they had to offer."
Fans should also plan to tune in a half hour before the game to catch all the analysis on the Pregame Show presented by Atmos Energy, and don't forget to stay with us a half hour after the game on the General Shale Brick Postgame Show.
