JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Jan. 19, 2007) - Two weeks ago the Memorial Center saw the remaining two unbeatens match-up, and now this Saturday will bring together two of the top three teams in the A-Sun when the Lady Bucs host Jacksonville at 1:30 p.m. in Memorial Center. With a win on Saturday, ETSU (10-7, 6-1) will make it four consecutive victories for the first time since last season (12/28/05-1/7/06), and it will also separate them from Jacksonville who is right behind ETSU in third place.

The Lady Bucs and Dolphins met for the first time last season, with ETSU sweeping the season series, 2-0. In game one, Kelly Turman (Atlanta) came off the bench and scored 20 points as the Lady Bucs defeated Dolphins, 84-72 in Jacksonville. When the teams met in Johnson City it was Jenny Norman's (Peachtree City, Ga.) turn to come off the bench and step up. The junior center finished with 13 points and five rebounds in the 74-53 victory.

The Lady Bucs are coming off a 39-point win Thursday night against UNF, which is their largest victory since they knocked off Georgia Southern, 103-65, on Jan. 10, 2000. Siarre Evans (Griffin, Ga.) posted her fifth career double-double, finishing with 21 points and 12 rebounds. Senior Brooke Wilhoit (Sevierville) moved into third on the all-time assists list with 358 total career assists.

Jacksonville (10-6, 4-2) brings a five-game winning streak into the Memorial Center on Saturday, and will try to tie its longest winning streak in school history which was set in 2001. The Dolphins rallied back and defeated Kennesaw State, 71-67, Thursday night. Virginia Gregoire scored a career-high 21 points for the Dolphins, while Ashley Williams chipped in 15. Williams (16.1 ppg) and Gregoire (14.3 ppg) are one of the top scoring duos in the A-Sun as they rank second and third respectively.
