Below is a breakdown of Saturday's match-up:

About Stetson

Stetson has lost nine of its last 11 and nine of its first 10 Atlantic Sun games. Three of the Hatters four victories have come inside the Edmunds Center, but Stetson have only played three home contests in conference play thus far.

The Hatters finished 5-25, 5-13 a year ago, and were picked to finish 11th in the league this season. Head coach Dee Romine enters her 15th season in DeLand, where her club is led by a pair of guards. Junior Sharnesha Smith and freshman Tierra Brown are the two leading scorers for Stetson. Smith leads the team in scoring (9.0), rebounding (4.9), steals (2.1), and assists (3.0), while Brown pitches in with 8.4 points per contest.

As a team, the Hatters only score 53 points per game, and allow 64.4 a contest (-11.4 scoring margin). The Hatters also struggle on the glass as they are being out-rebounded by almost five per game (41.5-36.7).

The Series

The teams have met five times, but ETSU have won all four of the meetings in Atlantic Sun play. Stetson's lone win came at the 1995 Krystal Holiday Classic, when the Hatters defeated the Lady Bucs, 74-71. ETSU knocked off Stetson, 78-69, in DeLand last season. The Lady Bucs were led by Siarre Evans' 21-point, 9-rebound effort, and Brooke Wilhoit's 12 assists. In Johnson City, the Hatters gave ETSU some fits, but the Lady Bucs managed to walk away with an eight-point win, 61-53, in the second to last game of the regular season. Nichelle Akers led the Lady Bucs win 10 points and Evans grabbed 11 rebounds. Evans is averaging 13.5 points and 10 rebounds, in her two games against Stetson.

More About Monday's Win Over Mercer

The 88-57 victory over the Bears marked the Lady Bucs' second largest win of the season ... five ETSU players scored in double figures as Michele DeVault led the way with 15 points ... DeVault passed Kim Skala for 12th all-time on the ETSU scoring list ... the Lady Bucs tied their season high with nine three-pointers made ... Daniels netted a career-high 11 points in the win all 13 Lady Buc players reached the scoring and rebounding column.

Balanced Scoring Attack

ETSU does an excellent job distributing the ball and finding the open player as six different Lady Buccaneer players have led the team in scoring this season; while four ETSU players are averaging over 10 points per game in A-Sun action. Sophomore Siarre Evans leads the team in the category (12.5ppg), but Michele DeVault, Jenny Norman and TaRonda Wiles also highlight the scoring attack. DeVault is adding 11.1 points, Norman 10.3, and Wiles is at 10.8. In addition, sophomore post Latisha Belcher is not far behind, averaging 9.8 points and a team-leading 7.8 boards in the nine conference games. Belcher also leads the club with 2.6 steals per contest. In total, 10 of the 13 Lady Buc players have clipped the double-digit scoring plateau at least once this season, and six have accomplished the feat on multiple occasions.

The Lady Bucs are in the midst of a season-long six-game winning streak, matching the longest run since last season. In addition, ETSU has won a program record seven straight conference games. The Lady Bucs are a perfect 3-0 on the road in A-Sun action, and have not lost a road conference match-up since falling to Jacksonville last Feb. 15.

Senior Jenny Norman will play in her 100th contest this afternoon. In addition, sophomore Devin Thompson looks to play in her 50th game as a Lady Buccaneer as well.

Florida Love

The Lady Bucs are currently 7-0 against teams from the Sunshine State inside Memorial Center in their last seven contests, and have won 12 of 15 against teams from Florida overall.

Three-Point Parade

The Lady Bucs have a long streak going regarding their three-point shooting. ETSU has drained at least one three in 100 straight games. The last time the Lady Bucs have gone without a trey was on Jan. 2. 2005, when they played UTC.

Lady Bucs Great in 08

Since opening the season 3-7, the Lady Buccaneers have been a force to be reckoned with as they are currently 9-3 over their last 12 games. During the last 12 games, the Lady Bucs have outscored their opponents by 12 points per game (74.8-62.8) and are forcing 24.3 turnovers per contest as well.
