Tuesday, April 21, 2009

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 21, 2009) - Coming off its second straight NCAA Tournament appearance this past season, ETSU head women's basketball coach Karen Kemp and her staff announced their summer camp information on Tuesday afternoon.

The Lady Bucs, who posted their third straight 20-win season and fourth consecutive winning campaign, will host two day camps inside Memorial Center this summer.

The first camp runs from June 1-4 and the second camp is held the week of June 15-18.

Each camp session costs $175 per camper ($25 discount for children of ETSU employees) and begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 4 p.m. On the first day of each camp (June 1 and 15) campers are asked to arrive at 8:30 a.m. for registration. Lunch will also be provided for each camper.

ETSU's camp is designed to offer individual instruction. Included are fundamentals in shooting, screening, rebounding, individual defense, team defense, and individual offense. Instruction is customized to the skill level of the individual camper, while new skills are added. Campers will earn a variety of demonstration, drills and discussions. In addition, scrimmages will take place each day so campers get a chance to apply the skills they have learned.

In addition to enhancing their skills at the camp each camper will receive a free ETSU Lady Buccaneer T-shirt, a season pass for Lady Buccaneer basketball games and a ETSU camp basketball.
