Second weekly award this season for the sophomore center

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Feb. 4, 2013) – Sophomore center Tiana Burley (Camilla, Ga.) was named the Mid-Major Conference Player of the Week, representing the Atlantic Sun Conference, by College Sports Madness on Monday, Feb. 4. This weekly award recognized exceptional play on the court in the week of Jan. 28 – Feb. 3.

In two games last week, Burley averaged 13.5 points per game and eight rebounds per game. This two-game stretch included season-bests of 22 points and four blocks, as well as 11 rebounds, on Jan. 28 in a 74-57 win vs. Jacksonville.

This honor is the second weekly award Burley has been granted this season after garnering A-Sun Newcomer of the Week honors on Dec. 26 after posting 19 points and 13 rebounds in the transfer’s ETSU debut.
