JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (July 3, 2013) – ETSU women’s basketball head coach Brittney Ezell announced Tuesday that prep guard Adriane Vaughan (Midlothian, Va.) has signed a national letter of intent to join the Lady Bucs for the 2013-14 season.
Vaughan, a 5-foot-9 guard from Crosby High School, scored 1,021 points during her prep career while graduating with a 3.58 grade point average. She intends to major in health sciences at ETSU.
"Adriane Vaughan is a great find for our basketball program,” Ezell said. “She is a winner in every facet of the word and comes to us from a great high school program in Virginia. She is a high-character kid with an incredible work ethic on and off the court. She is a student of the game and has the ability to play multiple positions for us. We are all thrilled to have Adriane join the Buccaneer family."
During her time at Crosby, Vaughan’s teams won multiple tournament and season championships, which included district and regional titles. Individually, Vaughan was a first-team all-district selection and second-team all-region pick during her senior season, and she was named all-academic on numerous occasions during her four years of high school.
Vaughan joins guards Jasmine Hotchkins (Phoenix, Ariz.) and Shamauria Bridges (Miramar, Fla.) as members of Lady Bucs’ 2013-14 recruiting class. For more on ETSU women’s basketball throughout the offseason, visit ETSUBucs.com and click on the women’s hoops link.
