JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 6, 2015) – The ETSU women’s basketball team prepares for their only exhibition contest of the season, hosting Milligan on Saturday afternoon at Brooks Gym. Tip is set for 2 p.m.

The Tip-Off
For the second straight season ETSU faces Milligan in an exhibition contest. Last season, the Bucs defeated the Buffaloes, 84-53 as four players for ETSU scored in double figures.

Scouting the Bucs
ETSU enters its third season under head coach Brittney Ezell and is coming off a 21-12 record a year ago in which they reached the Southern Conference Tournament Finals and earned a berth in the Women’s National Invitational Tournament (WNIT). The Bucs return eight from a season ago while welcoming five newcomers to the 2015-16 squad.

ETSU picked Third; Bridges, Tarter named Preseason All-SoCon
Junior Shamauria Bridges (Miramar, Fla.) and sophomore Tianna Tarter (Johnson City, Tenn.) garnered preseason All-SoCon honors. ETSU was picked to finish third by the SoCon coaches and second with one first place vote by the SoCon media.

Scouting Milligan
Milligan has played three regular season games prior to their exhibition against ETSU on Saturday and has gotten off to a 3-0 start. During the week, the Buffaloes had two contests at home in which they defeated St. Catharine College, 77-67 and Warren Wilson College, 86-62. Milligan is led by senior guard Hayley Wyrick who this season is averaging 15 points and five rebounds while shooting .500 from the field.

Up Next for ETSU
The Bucs begin the 2015-16 campaign next week on Nov. 13 as they take on UNC Asheville at 7:00 p.m. inside Brooks Gym. In last season’s match-up, ETSU defeated the Bulldogs 81-68 in Asheville behind Tarter’s 21 points and six rebounds.
