JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Nov. 28, 2015) – The ETSU women's basketball team looks to bounce back after a tough loss at Eastern Kentucky on Sunday when they head to Elon, N.C. to take on the Phoenix of Elon. Tip-off is set for 2:00 p.m.

All-Time Series Record: Series tied 3-3
This will be the seventh meeting between the Buccaneers and the Phoenix and the first time the two programs have met since 2004. While the all-time series is tied at 3-3, ETSU has won the last two meetings. The Bucs saw their two-game win streak come to an end on Friday as they fell to Eastern Kentucky, 64-41.
Hoop Didn't Want It
In Friday night's contest at Eastern Kentucky, the Bucs went cold from the field in the fourth quarter as the Colonels outscored ETSU 30-7 in the fourth. The Blue & Gold went 2-of-11 from the field in the final 10 minutes of action.
It's a Third Quarter thing
Through five games this season the Bucs have dominated coming out of the locker room at halftime, outscoring opponents 117-90 in the third quarter.
The Buccaneers have registered at least 20 three-point attempts in five straight contests. ETSU averages 6.2 three pointers per game, which ranks third in the Southern Conference. During the 2015 campaign, the Bucs have shot 130 three's, making 37 of them.
When you need an assist
Senior Chandler Christopher (Greeneville, Tenn.) leads the way for the Bucs in the assist department, registering 5.6 assists per game. In her last game at Eastern Kentucky, Christopher recorded a season-high eight assists.
Freshman Duo getting it done
Freshman Carley Lytton (Floyd, Va.) and Sadasia Tipps (Hickory, N.C.) have contributed early during their freshman seasons as the two have combined to average 5.7 points and 6.3 rebounds per game while averaging 27.3 minutes per contest.
Scouting the Phoenix
Elon has had five days off since their last contest in which they fell to Navy in double overtime, 73-70. At an overall record of 3-2, the Phoenix average 70.4 points per game while holding opponents to just 33 percent from the field. Elon is led by sophomore guard Shay Burnett who averages a double-double (16ppg, 10reb).
Last Time Out vs. Elon
It has been awhile since the Phoenix and the Buccaneers have gotten together as their last meeting was back in 2004 when Elon was apart of the SoCon. In the final home game of the season for ETSU during the 2004 season, the Bucs defeated Elon 80-62.
