This is the first meeting between the two teams since 2007

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Dec. 17, 2015) – The ETSU women's basketball team will make a brief road trip to Davidson, N.C. to challenge former Southern Conference rival Davidson on Friday morning. Tip-off is set for 11:30 a.m. as part of Davidson's Education Day.

The Tip-Off
Coming off back-to-back home victories over Armstrong State and Campbell, the Buccaneers hit the road to take on Davidson for the 27th meeting between the two programs. ETSU trails the all-time series 15-11 with the last meeting happening back in 2007.

Hot Shooting propels ETSU past Campbell
Leading by 28 at one point, ETSU used hot shooting to propel past Campbell on Wednesday night inside Brooks Gym, 70-55. The Bucs had three players scoring in double digits with junior Shamauria Bridges (Miramar, Fla.) leading the way with 25. The win secured ETSU's 4-0 start at home since the 2009-10 season.

Bridges Leads the NCAA
Bridges leads the NCAA in both three-point attempts (98) and three pointers made (36). Against Campbell, the Miramar, Fla. native went 5-for-9 from behind the three point line, On the season Bridges has a .367 shooting percentage from three.

Building "Blocks"
Junior Yamile Rodriguez (Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic) and freshman Sadasia Tipps (Hickory, N.C.) have made their presence felt for the Bucs this season in the paint. Rodriguez and Tipps have a combined 28 blocks this season as Rodriguez ranks third in the SoCon with 1.6 blocks per game.

The Big Three
In the 70-55 victory over Campbell on Wednesday night, the trio of Bridges, Tianna Tarter (Johnson City, Tenn.) and Chandler Christopher (Greeneville, Tenn.) combined for 53 of ETSU's 70 points. The three guards accounted for 75 percent of ETSU's offense.

Height Don't Measure Heart
Although the average height of the 2015 squad is 5 foot 8 inches, that doesn't stop them from crashing the boards. . The Bucs rank second in the SoCon in offensive rebounds with 14.5 per game.

On This Date
ETSU on December 18th is 6-7 all-time and 4-2 since 2003. The last victory on Dec.18 came in 2013 when the Bucs earned a victory over Indiana State, 73-67. In 13 contests all-time, ETSU has scored an average of 68 points per game.

Scouting the Wildcats
Davidson has an overall record of 6-4 and 2-1 record at home this season. It will be the fourth straight home game for the Wildcats after coming off a 63-51 victory over South Carolina State on Dec. 12. Davidson is paced by senior forward Hannah Early who leads the team with 7.8 rebounds per game and is third on the team in scoring with 11 points per game.

Last Time Out vs. Davidson
In their last meeting back in 2007, ETSU saw two players score in double digits as they fell on the road 79-61. Siarre Evans and TaRonda Wiles each scored in double digits as the Bucs forced the Wildcats to commit 27 turnovers in the defeat. ETSU was cold from the field shooting 29 percent to Davidson's 46 percent.

What’s Up Next?
The Bucs will play two more games before the start of the new year, hosting Austin Peay on Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. inside Brooks Gym. ETSU will then make the long trip to New Rochelle, NY to take on the Gaels of Iona.
