All-Time Series Record: First Meeting
To ring in the new year, it will be the first ever meeting between the Buccaneers and the Bobcats. ETSU is 2-0 when facing an opponent for the first time in school history, defeating Armstrong State and Brevard Colelge earlier this season.
Bucs see four-game win streak come to an end in New York
In the Bucs last contest, they saw their four-game win streak come to an end as they fell to Iona on the road, 56-50. Senior Shomari Kendrick (Lexington, Ky.) recorded her second straight double-double, collecting 11 points to go with a career-high 17 rebounds. The Bucs shot just 26.2 percent from the field and held the lead for just 21 seconds.
It's "Show" Time
In the last two contests, senior Shomari Kendrick has recorded a double-double posting a career-high 13 points and 14 rebounds in a victory over Austin Peay. In the most recent game at Iona, Kendrick totaled 11 points while grabbing a career-high 17 rebounds in the defeat.
A Trio of Double-Doubles
In three straight games, an ETSU player has recorded a double-double with Kendrick recording two and sophomore Tianna Tarter (Johnson City, Tenn.) recording 26 points and 11 rebounds at Davidson.
New Year, New Team
In the first month of the year, the Bucs have been dominant since 2005, posting a 60-30 record in the month of January. Last year, ETSU went 6-1 in the first month of the year and under head coach Brittney Ezell, ETSU is 8-7 in January.
Closing in on 600
The ETSU women's basketball program is just eight victories away from becoming the 147th program in NCAA Women's Basketball history ot reach 600 wins. ETSU would join Chattanooga, Mercer, UNCG and Western Carolina as the only 600 win programs from the SoCon.
Scouting the Bobcats
Lees-McRae has an overall record of 2-9 and 1-3 inside the Conference Carolina's. The Bobcats are coming off their second victory of the season defeating P.R.-Rio Piedras, 56-47 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Lees-McRae is led by freshman forward Alexis Ammons who leads the team with 10.8 points per game and is second on the team with 6.1 rebounds per game.
