ETSU is 10-1 at home this season

 JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (February 17, 2016) – Beginning on Thursday the ETSU Women's Basketball team begins its final homestand with a pivotal match-up against first-place Mercer at 7:00 p.m. inside Brooks Gym. Earlier this season the Buccaneers defeated the Bears on the road, 55-53. Thursday's contest can be streamed live on ESPN3.

The Tip-Off 
It will be the 32nd meeting between the Buccaneers and the Bears on Thursday with ETSU coming away victorious in the last four contests against Mercer. All-time ETSU leads the series, 18-13.

ETSU is currently on a four-game winning streak, tied for the longest winning streak this season. The Bucs have won eight of their last ten contests. The Bucs counterpart Mercer is on a five-game winning streak and have won 13 of their last 14 games.

The last five victories for ETSU have come by a combined total of 12 points. During the four-game win streak the Bucs have won by an average margin of 2.5 points.

The Blue & Gold is 10-1 at home this season averaging 71.4 points per game inside Brooks Gym. It's the 11th time in school history ETSU has registered double-digit wins at home. It's the first time since 2009-2010 the Bucs have had back-to-back season with double digit wins at home. 
 
Bridges Moving Up the Record Books
Junior Shamauria Bridges (Miramar, Fla.) is moving up the record books at ETSU, ranking second in career three-pointer's made with 190. Bridges ranks sixth on ETSU single-season three-pointer's made with 67. The junior guard is 20th on ETSU's all-time scoring list with 1,054 points. 
 
Welcome to the 600 Program Win Club
With a 45-43 victory last Thursday at Western Carolina, the ETSU Women's Basketball program became the 147th member in NCAA Women's Basketball history to reach 600 program wins. ETSU also became the sixth Southern Conference team to reach the milestone.

Scouting the Mercer Bears
Mercer heads into Thursday's contest sitting atop the Southern Conference standings with a conference record of 9-1 and 19-6 overall. The Bears are currently on a five-game winning streak and have won 13 of their last 14 games. Sophomore Kahlia Lawrence leads the Bears offense ranking second in the SoCon with 17.9 points per game.
