JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (December 5, 2016) - ETSU women’s basketball will look to stay in the win column on Tuesday as the Buccaneers travel to Buies Creek, N.C. to square off with Campbell in a midweek showdown at 7:00 p.m. inside the Gore Arena/Pope Convocation Center.

Scouting the Buccaneers
Through eight games this season the Bucs have compiled an overall record of 4-4 and is coming off a 76-56 victory over Davidson on Saturday, Dec.3. ETSU seeks their first two-game winning streak of the season as offensively the Bucs are averaging 67.6 points per game.
Tianna Tarter Sparks the Offense
Junior Tianna Tarter (Johnson City, Tenn.) has led the offensive attack for the Bucs this season leading the Southern Conference with 18.8 points per game. In ETSU’s last contest against Davidson, Tarter recorded a game-high 25 points along with six assists, five rebounds and four steals. Tarter has registered double figures in seven of the eight games this season.
Three of a Kind
In the past three games, ETSU has had three players score in double figures.
Dean of Basketball
Sophomore Raven Dean (Charlotte, N.C.) has shined for the Buccaneers in the past three games recording two double-doubles. Against Murray State, Dean earned her first career double-double with a career-high 24 points and 13 rebounds. Versus Davidson, Dean grabbed 10 rebounds while scoring 12 points.
Tis’ The Season
ETSU has played well in the month of December the past two seasons, compiling an overall record of 10-5 during the last month of the year.
Capitalizing Off Turnovers
ETSU has been capitalizing off of opponent turnovers as of late scoring at least 20 points off of turnovers in the past three contests. In games against Murray State, Austin Peay and Davidson, the Bucs have forced 60 turnovers, scoring 80 points off those turnovers.
The fighting camels head into Tuesday’s contest with an overall record of 3-2. Campbell is currently on a two-game winning streak and in their last contests against fellow SoCon foe Western Carolina, the Fighting Camels defeated the Catamounts, 50-48 in overtime. Offensively Campbell is led by Summer Price who is averaging 14.2 points per game while shooting 40 percent from the field.
