ETSU holds a 19-2 advantage all-time against Wofford

SPARTANBURG, S.C.  (January 27, 2017) – Winners of three straight and six of their last eight the ETSU Women’s Basketball team looks to continue its winning ways on Saturday as they take on Wofford at 2:00 p.m. in Benjamin Johnson Arena.

Scouting the Buccaneers
Currently riding a season-high three game winning streak the Buccaneers have improved their overall record to 12-9 and 4-2 in Southern Conference play. ETSU is coming off a 74-64 road victory at Furman on Thursday in which the Bucs shot 46.2 percent from the field and made 20-of-26 free-throws.

The Dynamic Duo
The backcourt tandem of senior Shamauria Bridges (Miramar, Fla.) and junior Tianna Tarter (Johnson City, Tenn.) lifted ETSU to the victory over Furman on Thursday. Tarter and Bridges combined to score 60 of the team’s 74 points while combining to go 19-of-35 from the field.

All-American Profile: Tianna Tarter
All-season long the ETSU Department of Intercollegiate Athletics has been campaigning for Tarter to earn All-American status and in the past two games she has shown why she should be. Charity Stripe Success
In the past five games the blue and gold have made the most of their opportunity at the free-throw line going a combined 65-of-89 (.730). In the five game span, ETSU has an overall record of 4-1.

• Shamauria Bridges has recorded at least one three-pointers in 15 straight games
• Bridges has scored in double figures in seven of the last eight games
• Tianna Tarter has scored in double figures in 15 of the last 16 games
• Sophomore Raven Dean (Charlotte, N.C.) has registered 10 or more rebounds in back-to-back games.

Buc Facts
When scoring at least 60 points this season, the Bucs are 12-3 … ETSU has recorded 14 straight quarters in which they have scored at least 10 points.

Scouting the Wofford Terriers
After losing three straight contests by a combined 28 points the Wofford Terriers come into Saturday’s contest with an overall record of 12-9 and 2-4 in SoCon play. The Terriers have three players averaging in double figures with Chloe Wanink leading the team with 14.8 points per game.
