Fans are encouraged to wear Gold as part of ETSU’s annual GOLD OUT

JOHNSON CITY, TENN.  (February 9, 2017) – In the third game of a three-game homestand the ETSU Women’s Basketball is set to host defending Southern Conference champion and longtime foe Chattanooga on Friday, Feb.10 at 7:00 p.m. inside Brooks Gym.

Scouting the Buccaneers
Winning five of the last six games the Buccaneers have risen up the SoCon standings and is currently sitting in third place with five games to play. The Bucs offense has led to the rise in standings averaging 65.1 points per game which ranks second in the conference.

Bridges Burning Up the SoCon Record Book
Senior Shamauria Bridges (Miramar, Fla.) is moving on up the SoCon record book as she currently ranks ninth in career field goal attempts (1,447), third in career-three’s made (272) and second in career three-pointers attempted (844).

Double-Double x3
Sophomore Raven Dean (Charlotte, N.C.) has recorded three straight double-doubles with her previous performance coming against Mercer in which Dean had 15 points and 10 rebounds. Dean this season has collected six double-doubles and has recorded double digit rebounds in the last four games.

With one more victory, ETSU Women’s Basketball will clinch its third straight winning season …ETSU is 7-2 this season when coming off a loss

Free For a Reason
ETSU has made a living at the free-throw line this season as the Bucs rank first in the SoCon and ninth in the NCAA in free-throw attempts with 514.

Tianna Tarter’s All-American Profile
Junior Tianna Tarter (Johnson City, Tenn.) has made a strong case for All-American status this season as she is one of just four players in the country to lead the conference in scoring while being top five in both field goal percentage and minutes played. This season the Johnson City, Tenn., native has had 22 double-digit point games, 12, 20-point games, 4 30-point games and five double-doubles. Scouting the Chattanooga Mocs
Chattanooga currently sits atop the conference with an overall record of 14-9 and 8-1 in SoCon play. The Mocs have won nine of their last 10 games including two straight over Mercer and Samford. UTC has three players averaging in double figures with senior Jasmine Joyner leading the way with 12 points, 9.8 rebounds and 4.3 blocks per game.
