ETSU Women’s Basketball team visits Towne Acres Elementary School

The Bucs enjoyed some time hanging out with the youth

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (September 15, 2017) – The ETSU Women’s Basketball team visited the Towne Acres Elementary School in Johnson City, Tenn. The team spent some time with local kindergarteners and first graders.

Freshman Erica Haynes-Overton (Nashville, Tenn.) “had an amazing time. That was actually my first time doing community service with kids and I’ll definitely do it again. They were great and it was fun. I love the kids and the kids love E!”

“It was a great experience! The kids were full of joy and energy, and I was glad that I could be a part of it,” added 6’1” junior forward, Sadasia Tipps (Hickory, N.C.)

Micah Scheetz (Knoxville, Tenn.) concluded, “It was so fun getting to take time out of the day to play and spend time with the kids. They were so cute and fun to be around.”
