2002-03 Season: Mayes had a standout sophomore year playing in all but one regular season game ... although she started in five contests, Mayes did most of her damage coming off of the bench ... on Dec. 2, Mayes went 8-of-10 from the floor at Middle Tennessee State for a career-high 20 points ... she grabbed a career high 12 rebounds at UNC Greensboro on Jan. 11 ... finished second on the team and third in the conference in blocked shots per game (1.4) Ö registered a career-best four blocked shots at Georgia Tech on Nov. 29 ... finished third on the team in rebounding (6.2 rpg) and completed the regular season as the teamís fifth leading scorer (7.7 ppg) Ö led the team in blocked shots the first six games of the season and 13 times overall Ö wrapped up her 2002-03 campaign by scoring a team-high 16 points versus College of Charleston in the opening round of the Southern Conference Womenís Basketball Championship and reached double digits in scoring six times.

2001-2002 Season: Mayes saw action in 23 games last season . . . averaged 1.5 points and 1.0 rebounds per game . . . scored a season-high eight points on 3-3 shooting in a 92-83 victory over three-time defending Southern Conference champion Chattanooga . . . pulled down a career-high four rebounds against Wofford on Dec. 5 and against UNC Greensboro on Feb. 16

High School: Tiffani earned three letters under coach Robert Vosbrink at Sumter High School . . . played in the North Carolina-South Carolina All-Star game following her senior season . . . was named to the All-Region and All-State teams following her junior and senior seasons . . . was an American General Miss Basketball Finalist in the state of South Carolina . . . was named among the SCASA top five players in the state prior to her senior season . . . averaged 14 points, 12 rebounds, three blocks and two steals per game during her senior season.
