Johnson City, Tenn.-- East Tennessee State junior Catalina Zuluaga shot a second-round 77 to finish in a tie for sixth place (75-77=152) and lead the Buccaneer womens golf team to a 12th place team finish in the James Madison University Lady Dukes Invitational.
East Tennessee State shot a second-round 327 (321-327=648) to finish 32 strokes behind team champion, the University of Maryland.
Zuluaga finished in a six-way tie, four shots back of individual medalists Ellen Berg of Longwood College and Freddie Seeholzer of Rollins College. Junior Mimmie Dymling was the next Buccaneer finisher, tying for 20th at 13-over par (77-80=157). Freshman Kristen Fletcher finished in a tie for 39th after shooting a final-round 80 (80-81=161). Sophomore Amanda Ovington fired a 90 on the second day, placing her in a 76th (88-90=178). Sophomore Susan McKinney rounded out ETSUs day on the links, finishing in 80th (93-92=185).
The ETSU womens golf team returns to action on April 15-17 at the Southern Conference Womens Golf Championships in Boone, N.C.
