Johnson City, Tenn. -- The East Tennessee State womens golf team fired a first-round 321 and stands in 11th place at the Bradford Creek Spring Invitational. The event features 21 collegiate teams and is being held at the Bradford Creek Golf Club in Greenville, N.C.
ETSU senior Mimmie Dymling is tied for ninth after shooting a first-round 78. Freshman Kristen Fletcher is tied for 20th after carding a 78 in the opening round. Also competing for the Bucs are: junior Catalina Zuluaga (T-62nd/83); freshman Lauren Rice (T-70th/84) and freshman Amanda Ovington (T-78th/85).
Colorado State University leads the Invitational after shooting a first round 301. UNC Greensboro is second,eight shots behind the leader. The Rams Maymi Motoyama and the Spartans Zuzanna Kamasova are tied for the individual lead after shooting a 1-over par, 73.
The second round of the 2001 Bradford Creek Spring Invitational will be played tomorrow with the final round being played on Tuesday, March 6.
