Lady Bucs take fifth at UNCW Lady Seahawk Invitational

WALLACE, N.C. (April 5, 2005) - Georgia State captured the team championship and Elon senior Morgan Olds claimed individual honors as the UNCW Lady Seahawk Invitational wrapped up Tuesday at River Landing Country Club.  The Lady Bucs were led by Ashley Barton (Seffner, Fla.) who finished tied for third with a final round score of 74 and overall score of 224 for the three-round event helping propel ETSU to a fifth place finish in team standings.


Freshman Natalia Giraldo (Cali, Columbia) finished tied for seventh with a final round score of 79, while rounding out the Bucs effort was Maria Ringdahl (Oland, Sweden) finishing tied for 29th, Danielle O'Reilly (Vancouver, B.C.) who shot a final round 81 finished 61st,  while Laura Diaz (Aguadilla, Puerto Rico) finished tied for 62nd in the event.


ETSU returns to action at the Southern Conference Championship Tournament on April 22.
