MIAMI LAKES, Fla. (Feb. 25, 2013) – Freshman Vivienne Chin (Kota Kinabalu, Sabah Malaysia) and sophomore Gabriella Wahl (Heidenheim, Germany) each finished the day tied for 11th to lead the ETSU women’s golf team following first and second round play Monday in the Sir Pizza Terrapin Challenge at the Shula Golf Club’s Senator Course.
Both Chin and Wahl finished their rounds at 5-over-par 149, with Wahl posting the low score for ETSU on the day with a 2-under-par 70 in the first round. Both players enter Tuesday’s third and final round nine strokes back of N.C. State’s Brittany Marchand, who leads the individual competition.
As a team, the Buccaneers posted a score of 602 on the day and are tied for sixth. Meanwhile, No. 20-ranked N.C. State also leads the team competition at 590 after two rounds.
Other ETSU results included a tie for 21st by junior Sian Evans (Gillingham, England), while junior Lourdes Lopez (Cadiz, Spain) is tied for 32nds.
