Ringdahl makes move, ETSU women move to 8th at USC event
Ringdahl Saturday, March 12, 2005 BLYTHEWOOD, S.C. (March 12, 2005) - Posting a second-round score of 75, East Tennessee State freshman Maria Ringdahl (Oland, Sweden) made a move on the individual leaderboard and finished tied for fourth Saturday at the Lady Gamecock Classic hosted by the University of South Carolina. Ringdahl's efforts helped the Bucs move up one spot to a tie for eighth place in the team competition with a score of 652, as the Lady Bucs are 31 strokes back of first-place New Mexico heading into Sunday's third and final round at the University Club located near Columbia, S.C. Ringdahl is seven strokes back of South Carolina's Caroline Rominger and New Mexico's Kailin Downs in the individual competition. Other ETSU results included a 33rdnd-place finish by junior Ashley Barton (Seffner, Fla.), a 45th-place showing by freshman Natalia Giraldo (Cali, Colombia) and a 56th-place effort by freshman Cindy Phillips (Johnson City, Tenn.).
