McIntosh wins $50,000 at Lady Bucs Million Dollar Golf Tournament

Monday, August 28, 2006

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (August 28, 2006) - WJHL Chief Photojournalist, Chris McIntosh made the first-ever hole-in-one at the 2006 Lady Bucs Million Dollar Golf Tournament. He was awarded with a $50,000 cash prize.

The ace came on Hole #15 of The Ridges Golf Course, which is an uphill, 150 yard shot.

"When I hit it landed short of the green and rolled up toward the pin," said McIntosh. "The guy who was monitoring the pin raised his hands but didn't say anything so I didn't know if it had gone in or was just close".

"The big thing for me is that this will really help my family. I have two kids, one who is starting pre-school and we all know how expensive things are," he added.

The Lady Bucs Million Dollar Golf Tournament is an annual fundraiser with the proceeds benefiting the ETSU women's golf team, the Warren-Greene Golf Center, and the ETSU Pirate Club.
