WALLACE, N.C. (April 7, 2008) - Junior Lucy Gould (Bargoed, Wales) concluded first round play at the UNCW Lady Seahawk Invitational Monday afternoon with a 2-over-par 74, placing her in a seven-way tie for third place from the River Landing Country Club.

The 42^nd ranked Lady Bucs are currently in eighth and 11 shots off the lead after posting a team score of 307. Fellow Atlantic Sun member Campbell, sits atop the leaderboard with its 8-over 296. East Carolina is second and five shots back, while UNC-Greensboro is third and seven shots off the lead.

Gould is still in contention as she is only two shots back of Campbell's Belen Diaz Cisneros and East Carolina's Abby Bools. Both golfers shot an ever-par 72 on Monday.

Senior Maria Ringdahl (Oland, Sweden) and sophomore Laura Jansone (Jurmala, Latvia) are among nine golfers tied for 27^th after carding a 5-over 77.

The ETSU women's golf team will look to close out the final two rounds of the tournament on a positive note, beginning at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday morning.
