STOCKBRIDGE, Ga. (March 21, 2011) - Senior Nina Muehl (Vienna, Austria) finished tied for ninth on the individual leaderboard and the ETSU women's golf team is currently tied for fourth overall following first and second round play in the John Kirk Lady Panther Intercollegiate Monday at the Eagles Landing Country Club.
The Buccaneers are currently just six strokes back of second place James Madison, while standing 18 strokes back of first place Notre Dame. ETSU finished the first day of play ahead of programs such as Mississippi State, Miami, Xavier, Middle Tennessee State and host Georgia State.
Muehl was not the only ETSU player to post a quality effort on Monday, as junior Mayte Vizcarrondo (Cadiz, Spain) finished tied for 12th and freshman Sian Evans (Gillingham, England) is currently tied for 27th. Muehl posted a two-round score of 4-over-par 148, while Notre Dame's Becca Huffer leads the event at 3-under 141.
