FLORENCE, Ind. (Oct. 13, 2012) – Sophomore Gabriella Wahl (Heidenhem, Germany) finished the day tied for 11th on the individual leaderboard, powering the No.46-ranked ETSU women’s golf team during first and second round play Saturday in the Hoosier Fall Invitational at the Belterra Resort.
As a team, the Bucs are tied for ninth in the 13-team field while No. 44 Indiana leads the event by 12 strokes over No. 38 Wisconsin. ETSU entered this event coming off its first team victory of 2012-13 just two weeks ago at the UNCG Starmount Forest Fall Tournament.
Wahl, who earned A-Sun golfer of the week honors following that Bucs’ win at the UNCG event, will enter Sunday’s third and final round eight strokes back of individual leader Lindsay Danielson of Wisconsion. Danielson holds a two-stroke advantage over Minnesota’s Carmen Laguna.
As for the rest of the Buccaneers, junior Sian Evans (Gillingham, England) is tied for 24th, while junior Chloe Garner (Somerset West, South Africa) ended the day tied for 36th.
