KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. (Oct. 28, 2014) – The ETSU women’s golf team ended the fall portion of its 2014-15 schedule on Tuesday, wrapping up play in the Palmetto Intercollegiate at the Turtle Point Golf Course with a 10th-place showing out of the 20-team field.
Junior Vivienne Chin (Kota Kinabalu, Sabah Malaysia) – the most experienced player on the young Buccaneers’ roster – led the way for ETSU on the individual leaderboard, finishing tied for 25th after firing a team-best score of 1-over-par 73 during Tuesday’s third and final round.
Other ETSU results included a tie for 33rd by freshman Dominika Czudkova (Cesky Tesin, Czech Republic), who carded a round of 2-over 74 on the final day, while freshman Allyson Dunn (Kingsport) and sophomore Linda Dobele (Ogre, Latvia) both finished tied for 39th. Dobele posted a 4-over-par 78, while Dunn finished the day with a 79.
Coastal Carolina dominated the team competition, winning by 12 strokes over GRU Augusta thanks to a team score of 866. Meanwhile, Coastal Carolina’s Lena Schaeffner finished the event at 4-under-par 212 and bested Kansas’ Yupapom Kawinpakom by just one stroke for the individual title.
