JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (April 9, 2017) – After winning its first tournament in three seasons, the ETSU women’s golf team will conclude its regular season schedule at the Brickyard Intercollegiate in Macon, Ga. from April 10-11.
About the Bucs
ETSU is fresh off winning its first tournament in three seasons when the Blue and Gold won the Atlantic Sun Championships back in 2014. The Bucs broke that stretch when they claimed the Web.com Intercollegiate in Jacksonville, Fla. nearly a week ago.
Leading ETSU at the Web.com Intercollegiate was senior Linda Dobele (Ogre, Latvia) and sophomore Loy Hee Ying (Baru, Kulaijaya, Malaysia). The duo each placed in the top-5 individually with Dobele placing third and Loy finishing fourth. Dobele carded a 1-over 145 (72-73) in the rain-shortened event, which was her best career finish at ETSU. Loy finished one stroke behind her teammate. It was her fifth top-5 finish this season.
As a team, ETSU has finished in the top-5 four times this season in eight events.
Previewing the Brickyard Intercollegiate
The Brickyard Intercollegiate is the final regular season outing for ETSU. The Bucs will see several Southern Conference members as they look to fine-tune their play before competing in the SoCon Championships in Lexington, S.C. in two weekends.

The tournament is being held at The Brickyard Golf Club, which is a par-72; 6,269-yard course.
