MACON, Ga. (Oct. 30, 2013) – Following a stellar sophomore campaign, reigning Atlantic Sun Freshman of the Year Sarah Zadrazil (St. Gilgen, Austria) has earned a spot on the Atlantic Sun Academic All-Conference First Team.
“Sarah [Zadrazil] takes a very committed and professional approach to everything she does, both as a player and in the classroom,” ETSU head coach Adam Sayers said. “She is certainly deserving of this recognition.”
Zadrazil, ETSU’s leading point-scorer, excelled both on and off the field while leading the Bucs’ to their fourth consecutive season of seven or more wins.
En route to scoring eight goals and dishing out a single-season record 11 assists, Zadrazil maintained a 3.65 GPA, becoming the third ETSU player to be named to the All-Academic First Team in as many years.
“We are very proud of Sarah [Zadrazil], and of all our student-athletes who maintain high academic standards in addition to being fully committed to a demanding soccer schedule,” Sayers said.
Zadrazil, a physical education major, now ranks in the Top 10 in ETSU Women’s Soccer history for goals, assists, and points. Her 21 career assists rank just three shy of Erin Ashton’s (2002-05) program record.
