JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (Sept. 27, 2013) – The ETSU women’s soccer will look to remain unbeaten versus USC Upstate when it hosts the Spartans Saturday, Sept. 28 at 7:00 p.m. The match will mark the start of Atlantic Sun play for both teams.
LAST TIME OUT
- The Buccaneers (4-4-1) had their three-match home win streak snapped, narrowly losing to Tennessee Tech, 1-0, Sunday, Sept. 22.
- Prior to the setback, ETSU was unbeaten at Summers-Taylor Stadium on the season and had extended its overall unbeaten streak to four matches.
SCOUTING THE SPARTANS
- The Spartans (3-4-2) will enter Saturday’s match riding a two-game win streak following wins over Gardner-Webb and Charleston Southern.
- USC Upstate is paced by Kenzie Major and Haley Gethin, who have each recorded three points this season (one goal, one assist).
- Goalkeeper Sarah Plantz has been named the A-Sun Defensive Player of the Week each of the past two weeks. Plantz is the Atlantic Sun’s active career leader for saves (258).
