Thursday, February 10, 2000

Johnson City, Tenn. - Head women's soccer coach Heather Puckett announced Heather Sanden (Manassas, Va.) has signed a National Letter of Intent to join the Buccaneer program.

Sanden, a senior at Osbourn Park High School, earned three varsity letters for head coach Rob Watters. The 5'11" goalkeeper also plays club soccer for Team America Elite and head coach Hank Leung. She led the team to a State Cup Championship in 1998 and 1999.

A fine student-athlete, Sanden is a member of the National Junior Honor Society and earned Honor Roll honors at Osbourn Park. She also earned varsity letters in basketball during her sophomore and junior year.

"We are extremely happy to have Heather (Sanden) coming to ETSU," Puckett said. "She will be a stabilizing force in the continuing improvement of our defensive presence."
