Johnson City, Tenn. -- The East Tennessee State women's soccer team (1-10-1, 0-6 SoCon) will host the Gardner Webb Bulldogs (9-5) on Friday, Oct. 19th at 7 p.m. at the Liberty Bell Soccer Complex.
The Bucs are coming off a 0-6 loss to the Furman Paladins in a Southern Conference matchup last Sunday at Liberty Bell. The Bulldogs shut out South Carolina State 8-0 in Orangeburg. S.C.
This season there are several Bucs that are securing their names in the ETSU record books. Buccaneer senior forward Kristin Redfern has had a great year so far and currently leads the team in six out of seven offensive categories. Redfern is the leader in points (12), goals scored (5), assists (2), shots attempted (29), shot percentage (.172), and shots on goal (21). Freshman midfielder/forward Ashley Richards currently leads the Bucs with a .857 shots on goal percentage.
ETSU senior forward Lisa Gallagher is leading the team in many career offensive categories. The Johnson City, Tenn. native has played in 64 games in her career as a Buc. Gallagher leads the team in points (43), points per game (0.67), goals (16), goals per game (0.25), assists (11), shots attempted (110) and shots per game (1.72).
Tickets for women's soccer at the Liberty Bell Soccer Complex are $3 for adults, $1 for senior citizens (55+), $1 for kids (ages 2-18), $1 for for groups (20 or more) and free for all ETSU students.
On Sunday, Oct. 21, the Bucs travel to Charleston, S.C. to take on the Citadel Bulldogs at 3 p.m.
