Women's soccer holds Johnson City Park and Recreation clinic

Tuesday, August 24, 2004

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (August 24, 2004) - This past Saturday, the East Tennessee State University women's soccer team and the Johnson City Park and Recreation Department held a soccer clinic at the Liberty Bell Soccer Complex. Though the day saw rain and overcast weather conditions, a good group of players braved the elements to participate with the ETSU Bucs at the soccer clinic. Those in attendance were able to work with members of the ETSU soccer team to develop their technical skills and also were able to play in small setting games. "Even though there was rain, there were a lot of smiling faces, both from community kids and our ETSU ladies," said head coach Heather Henson. "We had kids from Jonesborough to Gray to Johnson City who participated in the ETSU Soccer Clinic. We really enjoy putting on this type of clinic to build relationships with the community."
