Wednesday, March 12, 2008

JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. (March 12, 2008) - East Tennessee State University women's soccer head coach Heather Henson has announced the dates of the fourth annual ‘Buccaneer Soccer School for Girls'.

The Boys and Girls Day Camp for ages 5-12 will be held from June 2 to June 5 from 9 a.m. to noon. This camp will focus on the basic skills of soccer, such as dribbling, passing, shooting, heading and receiving. The campers will enjoy small-group training and small-sided fun games to put their skills into action.

The Elite and Team Camp for girls age 13-18 will be held from July 13 to July 17 from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Residential and commuter options are available for the Elite and Team cam. This camp is designed to help players reach the next level by pushing them to develop their game both technically and tactically in a competitive environment. The Elite Camp is designed for players with competitive playing experience. Campers will be trained by our highly qualified staff to improve their technical skills and knowledge of soccer through small and full-sided matches.

"We are extremely excited about hosting our first residential camp this year. The day camps have been very successful in the past and we are looking forward to hosting the Elite Camp in addition to our established Day Camp. We feel like we have a quality staff of other college coaches and top club coaches, as well as great facilities that will help make Buccaneer Soccer School for Girls a great experience for each player," said coach Henson.

The Heather Henson Champions of Tomorrow Soccer Camp is committed to helping players develop their skills while creating the most competitive and enjoyable soccer atmosphere possible.
