Miller records hat trick as Bucs down Highlanders, 3-1
Monty Wednesday, September 19, 2007 Radford jumped out to an early lead when Latrice Lee scored on a pass from Megan Horan four minutes into the match. The Bucs tied the match when a Radford foul led to a penalty kick by Miller in the seventh minute. The Bucs continued to battle as they extended its lead to 2-1 when Miller again found the back of the net from 40 yards out on passes by Jordan Monty ( Miller recorded her final goal of the night, at the top of the box with four minutes remaining in the match, on a cross from Kelly Brinkman ( It is the first ETSU hat trick since former Buc Emily Fulcher netted three against For the match, the Bucs outshot the Highlanders, 10-4 and earned six corner kicks. "In the first half we came out a little bit sluggish," said head coach Heather Henson. "We were able to overcome that and were able to play within our system. Terri's play today was phenomenal, but she had a lot of support from her teammates on the field. Because of that support she was able to finish the attack." The Bucs will open up A-Sun action next week as they take on the Ospreys of North Florida on September 28.
